Owl drawings

A couple of my owl drawings from illustration. Using mostly blue, black and brown ink these are the two drawings that I kept because of the character they both have.

Paintings from fine art

These are my 'modern-day cave paintings' from my week in fine art.
I think my favourite of the 3 would be the blue and pink one because of it's minimalism and the contrast between the detailed pink lines of the skeleton and the very loose and expressive blue marks.
The other two paintings I think are a bit too busy. There's not much that stands out. Just everything fighting against each other.

Using colour

This was from an observational drawing I did of people in the studio. I then cut it up into different sized squares.
And then painted the sections of the image using just 3 colours.

A is for A4

This little project was about paper cutting illustration, with a word beginning with A as a subject. I chose afro.
Observational drawing of some teeth. Could possibly relate this to the teeth in an afro comb.
I looked at some of Chris Ofili's work because of the strong influence of his African heritage and the constant afro themes through his work. These are the cut-outs I created. I looked at some of the patterns used in some of Ofili's work. I'm not too happy about them, but they took hours to make.
